ELON UNIVERSITY'S INNOVATION FELLOWS
Our progress on the mission to engage students in entrepreneurship and innovation
WELCOME
Yousaf '20, Haley '20, and Noor '20, Regan '21 represent the 2018 cohort of Elon University for University Innovation Fellows. As part of the program's training on design thinking and searching for ways to empower our campus through innovation and entrepreneurship, we have created this platform.
We are excited to share news about innovation and entrepreneurship as well as document our progress for making Elon's campus truly engaged with design thinking in and outside of the classroom.
MISSION
The campus does not lack innovation or entrepreneurship events and resources. Instead, the campus
must cultivate student engagement in entrepreneurship and innovation. There are more events hosted
than students who attend. In order to increase engagement with entrepreneurship courses, maker hub
spaces, and other opportunities, there must be an investigation into the lack of student involvement.
We can investigate by engaging students in conversations to learn their motivations behind attending
events, analysis of web traffic to university advertisements and newsletters, and conducting research on
previous successful events.
OUR BLOG
Four students, from a diverse range of interests and ideas were brought together to form the 2018-2019 Elon University Innovation Fellows team. Despite our differences, we share one common goal: to increase the engagement of students on Elon's campus with innovation and entrepreneurship. This blog follows the steps we take, both large and small, to cultivate student engagement in regards to I/E.
